The Zoombak Personal GPS Locator lets you keep tabs on your car, motorbike or motor-home, alerting you if it leaves pre-set zones and allowing you to locate it in ‘real-time and on-demand’ 24/7. In contrast to existing GPS tracking technology, which is expensive and primarily designed for industry or fleet management applications, the Zoombak Personal GPS Locator is one of the first GPS devices designed and priced specifically for everyday consumers. With Zoombak’s Personal GPS Locator you are in control and ‘in the know’ about where your vehicle is at any point in time. Zoombak uses A-GPS, an enhanced form of GPS, whereby the satellite-enabled GPS is assisted by land based databases to provide one of the fastest, most accurate location technologies commercially available. With its safety zone options, Zoombak can also alert you 24/7 when the locator leaves or arrives at one of your personalised, pre-set safety zones. An example text you can receive by email or on your mobile is: “Audi has left the garage at 7.16pm, 21/08/08,Current location is Victoria Street.’ Your alerts can notify you of the safe arrival of a teenage driver or can alert you to the fact that your car has been stolen or taken without your permission. You can then locate your vehicle, access its tracking history, or continuously track your vehicle for up to one hour, giving you the progress of your car at 5 minute intervals.
The Zoombak locator can be used portably, which is ideal if you want to use it for different cars. Alternatively, it can be installed permanently into your car, which eliminates the need to charge the Zoombak battery.
There are three ways to locate your Zoombak
1. Locate Online at www.zoombak.co.uk – log in to our secure portal, click on ‘locate’ and your Zoombak’s position will be shown as a point on a map and you can view either a standard road map or a satellite photo of your Zoombak’s location using Microsoft Virtual Earth.
2. Locate using your Mobile phone – all you need is your Zoombak’s name and unique PIN number – Simply text ‘Find Name,1234’ and you will be sent a text with your Zoombak’s location.
3. Locate by calling our customer service – a live Customer Care representative will tell you over the phone where your Zoombak is located.
