Week Twenty-Nine In Which It’s Catch Up Time!

There’s a list of stuff I really need to get at, reviews wise. I have a Blaupunkt active bass box, some wicked stuff from HiFonics and Precision Power and Autotek, as well as some wicked speakers (costly anyhow!) from Audison and more stuff from Ground Zero, Fusion and even some Phonocar speakers from Car Audio Direct.

I just submitted a brief review of the Kenwood DNX4210DAB double DIN digital radio head unit to the trade press, so shall put some more detail on that first and publish it here as well.

The Digital Radio UK event was really about the suits getting together and having a nice network and Friday Lunchtime drinkie as well as to let us know how digital radio penetration is coming along. (Nicely, is the answer to that one.) I did feel a bit out of place, despite knowing folks from Parrot, Celsus, Kenwood and DRUK themselves of course. I reckon I’d have been the lowest earner on that rooftop – including the catering staff, who can get a decent income in the West End through tips!

But it was crucial for my ugly face to be seen in such exalted company, so I was glad I went.

Finally, as part of their new Site Associate status, I have also got a couple of units from Sony here to check out. And this week, I’m going to do my best to get one out a day, even if they are not quite so anally retentive long and detailed. After all, I do know, that still after all this time, all anyone wants, Internet or not, is product reviews they can trust from someone whose opinion they can believe in. It’s a bit of a pompous Ivory Tower to clamber to put yourself in the position of providing such stuff but it’s what drives me. So I’ll go and get hitting keys for the good reasons then.
