Week Nineteen – Reviews Building Up Steam

Well, what a nut-job last week turned out to be and despite it being a shortie, I did get the review train up and running with three published last Thursday and have an urge to try and throw down at least one more a day, even at shorter word counts, for the next few weeks. I know you guys just want the skinny and it is indulgent of me to go into the level of detail I so enjoy, just ‘cos it’s the ‘net. But I’m also sure that more kit checked out is better and that the first impression lasts and the feelings about something tend to form pretty quick. After that, you need to live with something for a good while for any better assessment, which is why so many review publications do long termers. Works for cars and fishing kit, anyway…
There are some issues with admin access at the moment, so new stuff is getting posted up in spurts but bear with us as we do have some plans that will make all that a bit faster and easier pretty soon.
I love my new plywood posh painted audio test boxes by Acoustic Wood but have a phase error in the wiring somewhere so had to make an adjustment to the rig and will be fixing it properly today. Spike Brown, my mate the pro snapper of glamour products and foodstuffs has been nagging me that I really should start up upon Twitter and tell people who care, what I am blowing up at any one time. Plus, I do get to go do stuff, like set off Groundquakes, review million quid cinema systems and try out all sorts of toys…
I have that Digital Designs bass box downstairs ready to get plugged in, so, as ever….
I’ll go get on, then.
