Parrot Asteroid Unpacked & Tested

Adam Rayner unpacks and then does the bench test stuff on the Parrot Asteriod headunit, with a 64GB iPod Touch 4th Gen plugged in, as was a 2GB SD card (although you can put HUGE capacity ones in there) and a Verbatim 8GB USB ‘bean’. In addition to the analogue input socket also being used!

The device also has the ability to pair to your phone as a wireless hub, so the hitherto 3G dongle-use that made it technically net-connected is now superseded. The outdoorsy GPS nav and apps stuff is material for another video, car based. I have swagged one to keep, so will be checking out the voice control and all sorts of netty appy stuff in due course. Meanwhile, marvel at how ALL your music can be kept in the guts or within reach of this machine and still make hands free calls, of course.
