EMMA Round Four Ultimate Street Car, Santa Pod 4th & 5th August 2012
The Home Of UK Drag Racing, Santa Pod, is going to be hosting round four of the European Mobile Media Association’s UK sound off series over the weekend of August 4th and 5th next. The event, Ultimate Street Car, is billed as ‘The Fastest, Hottest, Largest and Loudest modified car festival in Europe’, used to be called Ultimate Fast Car and was heavily in bed with the magazine of the same name when I worked for them. Long forgotten was the terrible year when it rained throughout and the place found that they were horribly ill equipped to cope with thousands of bored nutters. The event got close to riotous and the magazine got scared of having their name upon it. They now use a serious collection of security people and proper fencing and the site has had a large amount of money spent on it, increasing the hard standing areas. And Santa Pod has gone from strength to strength, so this is a brilliant show full of snorting drag cars, bonkers lads and their Run What Yer Brung machines and us lot, tearing the world apart with bass and holding a Sound Quality competition in the midst of the mayhem!
The EMMA competition is usually held a good way past the track in the trading area and near the Pod Café. I have had the boss in touch and can tell you that registration for taking part is now open at the EMMA UK website here: link

Each entry ticket includes a Saturday and Sunday day ticket for the event , car pass and competition fee. Free entry into the DODO JUICE raffle where we have three £50.00 goody bags to give away (comprises wax, finger mitt, Microfibre cloth and bottle opener/key ring karabiner) and a chance to win over £1,000 worth of Rockford Fosgate with the EMMA-UK install challenge, of which more here: link
