The Chunk Makes History

Our very own TheChunk known to his mates as Alan Whinney, has become the very first person on TA to swag some loot! Those lovely generous people at Fusion suggested we use the Fusion Four Corner pack (The Encounter one we reviewed just recently as a giveaway or prize.
Now I know about the so-called professional compers, who trawl for stuff they have no interest in. One won the Harman £20,000 JBL van a few years back and it was a complete waste – she just sold it. Determined like an adolescent bloke is to get laid, we decided it was going to be different with TA. Maybe weird but different. Having spent so much time on live stages compering shows and giving away freebies from the manufacturers, I simply translated the swag-away attitude to the web. If something gets you noticed from the stage – in this case the forum threads to discuss, cuss or dissect the articles – you might just get selected to receive what we are calling SWAG!

Not a prize for knowing the whichness of what or how many Claggaferrets to the metre the latest sound deadening stuff has but simply for being involved. Simple begging posts won’t do it. If the editor reckons you are a deserving case from reading some input. That’s what’ll do it. To keep things straight we won’t even let you know what we have thieved, sorry, swagged, from the lovely trade we adore so, it’ll just happen and we’ll shout about it here, so WELL DONE TheChunk!
Alan tells us that he has donated the kit to his brother who will be fitting it in his car and is bloody chuffed at the windfall. We’ll keep you posted here on TA.
