Phatt Beats’ Massive phatt stand

One of the hardest to impress distributors around, Chris Woods of ‘rare breeds’ importers Axis was so blown away by the huge curved GRP demonstration stand fashioned by his dealers Phatt Beats of Barnsley to show off the Massive Audio brand of USA flavoured mainstream power amps and speakers, that he photographed it on his rounds and figured you would be impressed to see it too. It wears a pair of six inch coaxials at waist height, two Massive amplifiers, a P400.4 on the four corners and a P1500 on the bass with some six inch components arrayed in the ‘arms’ of the behemothic thing pointing down at ya. Two chunky CW15 Massive Audio subwoofers in a perfectly fettled ported enclosure beneath, act as the base with the bass.

I gather it took eighty man-hours to build and that it is fabulously potent. Not only shaking the light fittings out of the ceiling but also making products migrate off shelves. You can go experience this Phattness for yourself at

NB Adrian Howitt and the lads at Phatt beats are currently working on a new demo car with twelve top of the range Massive DMX15 subwoofers, and six P3000.1 amps (18,000WRMS!) so it is safe to say they are SPL nutters. As well as being heavily into posh SQ stuff too. (Their other demo car has CDT front speakers and Tru Technology Billet Series amps. Yum!)
