Recently, Mr. Am Singh of Blade ICE made an announcement on the forum that he would be changing brands but that he couldn’t let us yet know which they were. Blade ICE has today made an announcement. The new line up from Blade ICE is a full frontal sub assault.
Scott Atwell, the speaker engineer extraordinaire, has been at the forefront of subwoofer design for the last 10 years. Previously of RE Audio (Destijl Engineering) Scott’s speaker design abilities are not unknown amongst the underground of subwoofer boffins.
Having moved on from RE Audio, Scott’s latest incarnations can be seen with his new brand of woofers, Fi Car Audio and Ascendant Audio.

Ascendant Audio

Ascendant Audio was started to meet the needs of the new breed of custom car audio enthusiasts. Our subwoofer lines are the culmination of years of experience in autosound manufacturing, resulting in detail, clarity, power and bottom octave performance never before heard in car audio. All subs are hand built at our facility in Las Vegas. Subwoofers from Ascendant Audio help you achieve your sonic goals.

There are five series: Assassin, Arsenal, Chaos, Havoc and Mayhem. All offered with cast basket frames and FEA optimized motor structures. The new Mayhem series offers FHC technology (Forced Helical Cooling) similar machining as used on the Fi BTLs with 28mm of Xmax (cone travel) for good measure.
Worth mentioning, the Ascendant Audio H2 Hummer was thrown out of the SEMA 2007 show in Las Vegas for being too loud! (6 Havoc 15s tuned to 28Hz)
