Kenwood UK Release New Decks
Kenwood are of course deeply thrilled that the Formula One team they support has Lewis Hamilton in it and are now releasing major stuff about the fact that their team has won.
Kenwood supply radio communication kit to McLaren Mercedes as they are awesomely potent in that direction and used by the police in certain places. Thing is, their professional headphones have small polite badges and the DJ market ones have big badges. I really don’t know without asking this year but I know for a fact that in the past the polite and small badges have been prised off the cans sent to the lads at McLaren Mercedes and replaced with bigger ones. This takes advantage of the ‘reverse-hello-mum’ effect.
That’s when an F1 technician has yet another TV camera in his face and looks away. His headphones are thus stuck right up the lens of the intruding media person and the magic word Kenwood is broadcast around the world!
Hey every part of every F1 person is a walking billboard! And Kenwood pay not really with the equipment but with three salaried eight-hour shift people to offer full 24Hr cover and backup for any technical whim or issue. What a mad job – on tour with the F1 circus and only work to do if the kit goes wrong. Cushiest job in F1? Hmmmmm?
