Kenwood and Parrot Team Up
Parrot, leader in wireless peripherals around the mobile phone, have just announced it will supply Bluetooth telephony solutions to Kenwood, one of the world’s leaders in car electronics equipment.
Kenwood selected Parrot for its know-how in connectivity implemented in vehicles, car radios and portable navigation devices worldwide.
Parrot will provide Kenwood with Bluetooth connectivity and Digital Sound Processing for a selection of its 2008 car audio, car visual and car navigation systems and Bluetooth adapters for car audio and car visual, to be sold in European, Japanese, Asian and US markets.
Using Parrot’s CK5050 modules, these products will offer advanced telephony features, such as voice recognition, noise reduction, advanced echo cancellation and phonebook synchronization. Moreover, Kenwood customers will have the opportunity to stream their digital music from their Bluetooth Stereo-enabled phone or music player to their radios, as the Parrot CK5050 module supports the A2DP profile.
