The Conquest could win prizes for its aesthetics but it has a dark side too – lurking beneath the surface are 4-layer black Aluminium voice coils, with superb heat resistance and a vented coil perimeter to keep them cool. They ensure the high power handling and unparalleled reliability that you are looking for. Massive double-stacked magnets allow greater cone movement, further increasing the power handling capabilities of the speaker; a vented back plate ensures that this extra cone travel is unimpeded by releasing back-pressure and retaining sound quality. What’s more, Conquest’s spring loaded, silver plated terminals have been designed for use with heavy gauge speaker cable so that loss of power from the amp is also minimised. All in all the Mutant Conquest is a beast of a sub.
