The folks famous for plugging things into cars where others often can’t, Connects2, are now the importers and distributors of the potent Ground Zero line of mobile electronics. I saw this stuff first released in Las Vegas at a CES many years ago, when I turned a show-hall corner only to be confronted with a mock-up woofer with a magnet that was comprised of stacked discs – a huge pile of them. I just said, ‘**** off!’ repeatedly and with ever yet more amazement to the merriment of the designers.

Ground Zero has long since been based in Germany and the equipment ranges from the relatively affordable, all the way up to utterly bonkers. The sort of kit you show a Noob and they can hardly believe it was designed for a car. Lovely! The Connects2 guys were at the Mobile Electronics News trade dealer show with a superb German-built demo car. It was a beast and beautifully crafted as well as being able to wobble horribly well.
