Clarion is tops in Europe

Latest in-car entertainment stunner scoops top award
A panel of Europe’s leading technical journalists have voted Clarion’s MAX678RVD multimedia masterpiece as the best in-car audio-visual device on the market, confirming Clarion’s position as in-car multimedia leaders in the process.
The journalist jury of EISA – European Imaging and Sound Association – acknowledged that Clarion ‘has unquestionably risen to the challenge with the MAX678RVD’, before going on to say that ‘Excellent ergonomics and a stylish design – so hard to achieve with such a confined space around the screen – make this a hands-down winner.’

Based on a blueprint that blends a frenzy of features with the latest in high-end audio-visual techniques, the ‘In-Car A/V Head Unit of the Year’ is DVD±R/DVD±RW ready and MP3 and WMA compatible with ID3-TAG display, deploying a 7-inch QVGA TFT colour LCD monitor for the reproduction of the highest quality video images, whilst 2-zone technology helps deliver the option of dual sources; audio in the front for example, with DVD in the back, via an add-on head rest or overhead monitor/s for example.
Clarion has also reacted to the continued development of Apple’s iconic iPod, with automatic recognition of iPod Audio/Video upon connection, to allow instant and direct access and playback of video, music and photos via the widescreen monitor, whilst Bluetooth connectivity allows for streaming from devices such as mobile phones, as well as complete control of your phones’ functions via the MAX678RVD’s touch-screen.
A 24-bit D/A Converter is the focus of the newcomer’s faithful sound reproduction, together with a 3-band parametric equalizer and Magna-Bass EX dynamic bass enhancement, whilst 4-channel x 50 watts of MOS-FET amplification helps generate a more dynamic, well-balanced audio reproduction to ensure the MAX678RVD’s technology is put to good use.
Highlighting its versatility, the MAX678RVD can also be connected to the very latest HDD (Hard Disk Drive) navigation (NAX973HD), TV tuner and 6-disc CD changer, thanks to Clarion’s own CeNET connectivity, whilst the system also supports the BLT373 Bluetooth for safe, hands-free conversations in-car.
Available via Clarion appointed dealers across the UK, the MAX678RVD has a typical selling price of £699.00, and for more information on your nearest stockist, as well as full details on the multimedia masterpiece, call Clarion (GB) Ltd., on 01793 870400, or visit www.clarion.co.uk
