Alpine Underseat Sub: PWE-V80 – NEW for 2014
Alpine Don’t Often Make Underseat Subs But When They DO… It’s likely to be one that will tickle your testicles, clean through the seat boss! A device never done justice to when tested on a bench, as they depend on being in a squeezy place. This subwoofer is a solid little spud, weighing in a 5Kg (or in old money 11lb!) and one I would thus love to have a try out some day. Rated at eighty watts, it is a sealed-box rather than ported, so will wobble down to the limits of the 8in driver’s suspension, rather than a less profound tuned frequency due to the low cubic. It comes with a natty wired remote offering volume control, a 50Hz to 100Hz sweepable choice of crossover frequency and even a phase flip switch so you can even get away with connecting it up wrong!
