Alpine Imprint
Experience music inside the car like never before. Alpine has combined their in-vehicle sound system experience with Audyssey’s acoustical technology into one unprecedented component – including 24-Bit DAC, digital time correction and selectable crossover frequencies. Enjoy the most accurate sound reproduction ever – IMPRINT Sound.
IMPRINT uses MultEQ technology for improved sound imaging and quality in all seats and for all types of music. It overcomes the two main factors that degrade in-car sound: various materials in the cabin distort frequency response, and the time domain problems caused by the fact that the speakers are not located at equal distances from the listeners. By eliminating these types of acoustic distortion, MultEQ provides a seamless, enveloping soundstage for experiencing music as it was originally recorded.
Audyssey MultiEQ
The car interior is an acoustical challenge. Interior surfaces reflect sound while other surfaces absorb it. IMPRINT Sound overcomes the car’s inherent acoustical challenges, but also improves the sound stage, tonal balance and definition. MultEQ solves all this by using more than 500 correction points along the frequency spectrum. This optimises the sound reproduction to the specific vehicle listening environment with much greater precision than has been achieved up to now – reproducing the music as it was meant to be heard throughout the car.
MultEQ analyses problems in cabin acoustic response and creates a precise inverse filter that cancels out the frequency peaks and dips, resulting in ideally linear response.
MultEQ also allows your dealer to achieve professional sound tuning in any vehicle in just minutes, resulting in audio reproduction on a level with that heard in the very best listening rooms. It uses FIR filters that have virtually no ringing to apply equalisation at more than 500 points along the frequency spectrum. It also sets the optimum crossover points, so it does everything for you. This specialist calibratation is carried out by the dealer using a unique PC interface. (KTX-100EQ).
Alpine CDA-9887R
Alpine will introduce IMPRINT into the range with the launch of the CDA-9887R. The MultEQ processing built into this unit automatically corrects acoustical distortions in the car, reproducing music with an accuracy and clarity you’ve never experienced before. The unit also has high-end sound enhancing features such as 6-channel digital time correction, parametric and graphic EQ, adjustable crossover and 24-Bit DAC.
The CDA-9887R is due for launch in the UK June 2007 with an RRP £399
