Let’s RickRoll The Gadget Show!
Three years ago, I sat in an office with The Iceman and Mark Nash (then the boss of Directed Electronics UK) and pleaded for what would be the start of £65,000 retail’s worth of Orion, Panasonic, Odyssey and West Coast Customs equipment. I promised that Iceman would deliver “The most amazing bass vehicle the UK’s ever seen!” and that he ‘gave good media’. Meaning that he wasn’t scared of TV crews and could talk sense on camera. As well as being a charismatic sort of bloke. (And ‘effing tall.) That and all the press I was planning to suck out of his soul…
Now, as well as carving the marble deeper on his status as the legendary perpetrator of the deepest most awesome street bass in all the UK, he has gone mainstream via that must-see TV item for the likes of our kind, The Gadget Show.
Talk Audio got wind of the filming and called up North One Television and told them all about how many there are of YOU!
So, in an obviously happy symbiosis of Talk Audio’s grasping the hot news and The Gadget Show’s hopefully blipped-up viewing figures, they let me go along and observe and snap them filming Iceman doing a hair Trick in a car park in central Stratford, in London’s real East End for a show to be broadcast on the 16th March.
It’s simple; watch it and tell your mates to watch it on Channel Five on 16 March at eight o clock.
I have no ruddy idea whatsoever how they derive viewing figures but there over 100,000 of you and that can make a difference. Along with a news item in Fast Car magazine, (published on the 11th March) I really want to see the power of the ‘net meld with the power of the press and make ’em notice – that way, we can see them covering MORE In Car Stuff!!
And with the best will in the world, I ain’t as schweet as yummy Suzi Perry (who with Emma Baker of Anglia TV’s news team is a member of the Hair Trick club) and I know you’d love to see more ICE on the Gadget Show with Suzi telling us about it.
