Buyer Beware!

Part of our visit to Alpine’s hub of operations was to learn about yet another less than scrupulous set of sales going on via the big auction site with the Vowel where sellers are claiming to have the new Alpine 2008 range in the UK before it is on sale here. The Alpine IDA-X100 in particular is not available in Europe until half way through March, yet sellers are claiming these units are European ones and are blatantly mis-describing the part number.

Alpine told me bluntly that any units bought in the States and used here are on their own as far as support is concerned. It really ticks Alpine UK off as they care right through to their middles about quality of after sales service and these won’t be touched on principle.
