In a world where lunatic power is often all that matters, these CDT speakers are designed solely to impress with sound quality. The HD-M6+ and ES-06+ six inch drivers have astonishing low frequency capability and are called Mid-Subs, offering true bass in the front in a well made install. The similar looking but crucially differently constructed mid drivers, the HD-M6 & ES-06 are called Extended Bass Mids and are about refinement and transient response. The upper frequency drivers HD-02 and ES-02 are called Mid-Tweeters and go all the way down to 150Hz. They recommend a 1kHz crossover setting. The New Breed includes two passive crossovers of great cunning. The two-way job, the CS-256, has a selection of different high frequency settings, as does the ‘multi-flexible crossover’, the MX-1000. This enables true tuning of your component system. Bought entirely as separates, they can be mixed and matched like M&S bikinis.
