RE Audio XXX Comps

The XXX-6.5 is a two-way component system comprising one pair each of 6.5″ woofers, 1″ tweeters and 2 adjustable passive crossovers along with all mounting hardware and stainless steel grills.
In order to perfectly integrate the individual drivers, the XXX component systems feature new crossover designs updated with optimized parameters. The balanced frequency response of the RE Audio XXX automotive loudspeaker series is not simply the result of the superior drivers utilized, but also a product of the accurate fine-tuning in the crossover.

12dB/Octave Crossover Network uses High Grade Non-inductive Resistors and features 3 settings for the mid-woofer, 2.8Khz, 3.2khz and 3.6khz. This will allow the user to fully optimize crossover points based upon the vehicles acoustics and speaker placements. Flicking the switch match’s the tweeter at the same time, so there leaves no gaps in the bandwidth. Additionally there is an attenuation switch for the tweeters from 0 to -9dB. This crossover is the result of long hard R&D testing by the legendary Dirk Ecker of US Amps, original amp designer from the early 90s.

Now, the woofer is somewhat an animal yet an exquisite audiophile driver too! The 6.5″ woofer boasts an incredible Xmax of 16mm 1 way linear using High Linearity Nomex Spiders. That’s nearly as much as the SE Series subwoofer!
It also uses Split-Gap technology as used in the XXX Series subwoofer. This tech enables the motor strength to stay flat throughout its entire frequency range. As a result the distortion and inductance is reduced considerably. This mid also uses a Powerful Neodymium Motor and is FEA Optimized, so its lightweight too. For bragging rights, this driver can moves as much as 0.5ltr of air, that’s based off cone area times peak to peak Xmax, in other words it moves as much air as an RE8 subwoofer does! And with increased cone excursion, even the most powerful transients are delivered without compression.

The 28mm (1.1 inch) diameter surface area is approximately 60% greater than that of conventional car audio tweeters, while its optimized dome geometry provides improved dispersion and exceptional off axis performance.
The 1″ tweeters rear chamber is also sealed and acoustically damped to eliminate high frequency distortion that could be caused by back-wave reflections, while ferrofluid cooling adds damping and additional power handling.
For the most authentic and dynamic high-frequency reproduction – powerful Neodymium – one of the most efficient but also most expensive magnetic materials for loudspeaker construction is used in the tweeter magnet systems.
It features an aluminum housing and professional grade lead wires. The tweeter is anodized in black with a grip-fastening ring, professional in every sense!
